Description The Custom Systems & Control package code printing line was removed from a working pharmaceutical facility in Massachusetts. This was a 2010 custom ordered line comprised of three Videojet ink jet small character coding printers, a Dorner 2200 conveyor, an Enercon Dyne-a-mite HP plasma surface treater, two sensors, one Cognex inspection camera, and a Mitsubishi GOT1000 controller interface. The conveyor system includes additional motors, air valves, and power supplies photographed. The printing line is in good cosmetic condition and has been evaluated by New Life Scientific technicians. The technicians noted that the sensors will need rewired and connected to the system, but the mechanical aspects appear to be complete and intact. Because the instrument was removed from a working environment, NLS will sell the instrument as a working system and offer a thirty day warranty. The Videojet printers are on stainless steel mounts with single print heads that have been thoroughly flushed by the original owners and the ink cartridges were removed. The Dorner 2200 conveyor has a variable speed adjustment which is based on your product needs. There are two adjustable width tracks on a 9-inch belt; the track width is 7-inches, but it may have greater modifications available. The Dyne-a-mite HP plasma surface treater has dual deluxe heads with an interchangeable electrode option that treats non-conductive surfaces for improved bonding with adhesives, inks, and other labeling. The system conveys products by introducing the packaging to the line tracks. The product is pulled through a safety enclosure and surface treated by the Dyne-a-mite blown arc plasma which allows for better ink bonding. The three VideoJets print a single to five line configuration for font, a linear barcode, or a data matrix code. The Cognex inspection camera indicates to the Tiesto air-valve if the coded package passes or fails, and, in the case of failure, a burst of air discards the packaging to a plexiglass drop-bin. There are sensors before and after the product has been printed, but there is no indication whether the sensors log anything other than quantity and timing on the line. The Mitsubishi GOT1000 touchscreen interface serves as a control center with a USB and micro-USB port. The line offers additional ports for including to a large system and adding to a network.
