2 different vintage Graphic Arts items from the 1980s 1) Fine Japan and Marble paper sample book mid 1980s-hand made Hand made sample book of fine papers including imported marbles and traditional Japanese paper. Booklet measures about 9x4" contains 30 different swatches pasted in and identified by hand, plus one slightly larger swatch laid in. Samples pasted 1 side only for 11 pages. Centerfold is detached but present. A nice example of imported and fine papers for art/binding/decorative uses dates from the 1980s. Some discoloration to the front cover where a label has been removed. This handmade sampler produced to illustrate some of the papers available from supplier Andrews, Nelson, Whitehead. Some discoloration to some of the pages. All samples nice and individually identified. Produced ca mid 1980s. together with 2) Folding brochure for METALIZED STAMPING FOILS ca. 1987 - 48 metallic foils illustrated From Crown Roll Leaf. This item measures about 10 x 4.25," opens to 16.5x10" in four panels, shows gold, silver and multiple assorted colored metallic foils samples from major printing foil supplier. When fully opened has four panels with total 48 different samples metallic foils. One of the nicest and most expressive of all the printing trade specialties. Specs and additional roll leaf foil selection in black and white on the back, issued ca. 1987, nice condition. PRINTS PACIFIC, Ltd. is based in Maui, Hawaii, USA.
