Company: STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA Year: 1962 Subject: Rules and Regulations Governing the Construction Industry Type of Publication: Reference Manual Geared Towards: Contractors, Builders Pages: 32 Cover: Paper Flaws: Some aging. Framing on covers. Inside pages have very slight darkening and a few spots. Binding: Saddle Stitch You are bidding on one reference manual issued by the State of North Carolina with the Rules and Regulations Governing the Construction Industry. They obviously used the "Doom and Gloom" approach at that time because there are photos of men who didn't follow the rules removing a body from a trench, and they include a copy of an article about how 3 men were killed in a hole! Sooooo, to prevent that from happening again, they've provided this book that gives great information to the employers such as they must provide drinking water and toilets, and the correct way to stabilize trenches so they won't have to drag more bodies out. Morbid, yes, but effective (I guess). There are photos and illustrations to drill the message in even more. The cover is printed in blue and black and has the great seal of North Carolina. The inside is black and white. It measures 5.5" x 8.5". There is slight aging on some of the pages, but all in all it's in good shape and VERY interesting reading. If you have questions, just ask. These come from a non-smoking home. Thanks!
