This silicon wafer disc comes in a black frame measuring 8”x10” with a glass front, ready to hang and display. The disc has been stored since the 1980s and is in impeccable condition. This auction offers a genuine, Silicon Valley manufactured National Semiconductor Corporation 3” (75mm) silicon wafer disc from the 1970s, etched with an integrated circuit die outline. An engineering sample, this silicon wafer disc is a superb example of early semiconductor technology. It is custom-mounted on 4-ply archival stock with an over-matt using hand-cut techniques. This high-tech collectible is a one-of-a-kind with an edition number of 1 of 1. An Orchard Arts certificate of authenticity is included, along with a history of National Semiconductor Corporation.
