Here is an original vintage heavy-duty asbestos  fire blanket (woven chrysotile) with the metal wall canister. The canister (19"x9-1/2") is super condition for its age (1940s-1960s) with minimal wear and a slight dent at the bottom and tiny one on top both of which is not that noticeable. The asbestos blanket is approximately 72"x73" (6x6 feet), and its at least 1/8 inch thick. The blanket shows a few burn specks, maybe used for welding once (see pic). Basically, with this blanket you could throw it on top of a small fire (any combustible type including chemical and oil fires) and put it out, or you could wrap yourself and run through a burning building with limited injury. The heat resistance and fire retardant quality of asbestos is amazing, especially in a big blanket. The canister has all attachments ready to be hung on a wall for safety in the work place. The canister with blanket weighs 17 pounds before packing to ship. Please check the pictures and contact me for any questions.
