No other markings or hallmarks besides the Blitz WeinhardChrome plated Brass tower with cork insulation. SOLD AS IS, this is quite the rare collectible! Own a piece of Astoria Oregon history, this draft tower came from the former Columbia Tavern located in the Suomi Hall Building, the meeting hall of Finnish and Scandinavian immigrants, under the Astoria–Megler Bridge in the Area of Astoria known as "Union Town". NOTE: We included a photo of the former side entrance for your history experience, not included in the auction, please enjoy! Item is used and may exhibit normal signs of use, any major issues will be noted, please review all photos and read entire description before bidding/buying. Fun History Facts about this location: The Bombardment of Delaura Beach & Fort Stevens occurred in June 1942, during the American Theater and the Pacific Theater of World War II. An Imperial Japanese submarine fired on Fort Stevens which protected the Oregon side of the Columbia River's Pacific entrance.
