For auction is a Vintage Burndy Wire-Mike with vinyl case. This 4-1/4" slide micrometer is used to measure all manner of stranded cable, solid wire (AWG), ACSR, thin wall conduit, ridgid conduit and copper pipe up to 2-1/2" pipe size. This stainless steel Wire-Mike was made by Burndy Corporation, Norwalk, Conn. U.S.A. and shows a 1954 copyright date. This used vintage tool is in good, fully functional condition. There are some minor scratches and scuffs, a touch of staining to the stainless steel and a little paint wear to the Burndy logo on the front side but overall in very good condition with no excessive wear or damage. The vinyl pouch shows some wear but is not torn or damaged. Most of the items I sell are from estate sales, auctions, flea markets, etc. I clean them as necessary to properly evaluate the condition and allow you to judge the actual item rather than a previous owner’s dirt. I want to know if the typical dirt and grime and/or harmless surface rust is covering any damage. My photos will always be the actual item for sale and I try to describe and show the condition as thoroughly as possible.
