Vintage Copper Steam Autoclave. - Antique  Hospital equipment. My grandfather brought this home from Grady Hospital in the 1930's when it was RETIRED.  We assume he was going to use it for canning, but who knows now.  When my Grandmother died, my stepdad found it in her basement and used it as a decoration in his bar full of other oddities.  The base was to sit over a flame to heat the pot and raise the pressure. There is the name Wm. Boekel & Co, engraved on one of the gauges, and a Trade Mark B inside a circle on the other gauge, as well as stamped onto the lid. This thing stands approximately 46.5 inches tall (top of round gauge) and is 18 inches in diameter (base), 16.5 inches (clamps on top) It weighs a whole lot. (Don't ask me to put it on a scale).  I have been unable to find anything even remotely like it online, and I honestly don't know what it's worth, so the price here is negotiable.  Please note that I'm not selling it so you can turn it into scrap. On photos of the inside, you can see It is missing 2 wingnuts on either side of the hinge. Price is negotiable. Make me an offer and we Pick up only in East Cobb county, Ga. Too heavy to ship.
