We have here today, a number of vintage cup cake pans. These treasures where found in the dark basement of a old midwest bakery,  since i have all i need for use in my bakery, i now offer some to you, and i hope being both a avid baker and lover of things antique and vintage ...you will love them also. Now, i have found a bit of information on the pans and the possible pan maker.. one patient assigned to the pans (and other pans by differant sellers/marketers of pans) is atributed to a company called MUFFINAIRE, file april 6 1931 granted to M. Heister and to United Airline Products of Dayton Ohio. The pan (s) i show here have the Patient of 1772707 which information for is: Aug.v 12, 1930. P. c. CHRISTIANSEN DEvIbE FOR PRESSING ARTICLES Filed Feb. 25, 1929 I). Visi'lknsen n ap Patented Aug. 12, 1930 UNITED STATES PATENT OFFICE mun cnarsrmi cnarsrnmsnu, or cornnnseim, nmmx nnvrcn ror. rnnssme annex-Es aussuEn Application fled February 25, 1929, Serial No. 342,623, and in Denmark March 1, 1928. this is essentially for the device which is used to stamp the "cups" into the steel. however i am "guessing" that this pan was also made by United Airlines Products as well as as the stamp So, applying this bit of detective work to this unit ..you get the fact that this was probably made or stamped out befor 1931 !nearly 85 years ago... now there is the stamp of U43....to be continued. Take note in the photos of the "little nubbs" or tiny lumps, those are a very unique design idea, one that was not used very often, i will say almost never after these units where made..the idea was to stack the pans/molds so that they would not be totally together, a bit of a spacing, that way they would not stick to each other..see in the early years bakerys did not clean the molds or even sheet pans with each use, sort of like we do with cast iron pans now, we let the build-up, just, well...build up lightly greasing each time with use.. I have not washed the pan, being that that is the way it was used for years, and it is my belief that a collector or one that has the right place to display it may just want it in this condition,..to me the "build up" is part of the history.  i have been baking professionally for 50 years and i had never been in a bakery that had molds like these, i consider this very rare. and my sale of these will be very limited indeed. the pans are aprox. 14 x 12 x 2 I have been watching here, (ebay) and searching the webb, and i have not seen others just like this..
