Vintage Dunlap 10" Flat/V Belt-Driven 2-Wheel Grinder, Polisher Knife Sharpener Product Details: Vintage Dunlap 10" Flat/V Belt-Driven 2-Wheel Grinder This grinder can take up to 10" wheels. An 8" x 1-1/2" is currently mounted on the left, and a 9" x 1-1/2" is on the right. The one on the left is coarser than the one on the right. They don't look like they've been used much to my eyes. I think this setup is for knife or tool sharpening, but you can also change them out with polishing or lapidary wheels if you desire. The guides are adjustable. There are two sheaves on the axle, both able to take a V-belt and a 1-1/2" flat belt. The one on the left is fixed and turns the axle. The other is free wheeling right now but could be tightened down. I image the second one is so you can run a second belt to another tool on the bench and "turn it on or off" by tightening the screw. This is therefore a great tool for hit & miss engine enthusiasts who like to run networks of equipment from their engines. Much of the construction is cast iron. Great working condition. It is covered in grime from sitting in a workshop, which protected it from oxidation and rust. I scraped off some to see who made it and wiped it down a bit more, but it could certainly use more cleaning if you want it to look like new. Nice grinder in my opinion. To keep shipping costs to a minimum, I'll probably remove the guides and possibly the wheels to reduce package size.
