Please read the entire description thoroughly before bidding. I do my best to describe the item accurately and provide clear photographs. If you have any questions or would like more information please feel free to contact me. You are bidding on an Electric Air Speed Meter, U. S. Navy, No. 5, Bureau of Standards, Model 6, 1925. It reads in "Knots". I have no way of testing this so it is being sold "As Is". Please view the photographs closely. The casing has numerous small scratches and the ID tag on the front shows signs of fading. But the ID tag is clear and legible. The needle moves freely when the meter is turned side to side and the glass lens is clear and free of chips or cracks. If it is indeed from 1925 it is in very good condition. Nice collector piece. It measures approximately 5-1/2" wide x 4-1/2" tall x 3" deep (this includes the length of the terminal screws on the back). The case by itself is about 1-1/2" deep.
