This beautiful, vintage fiberglass mannequin head is in GREAT condition for her age. Considering she probably hails from the 1970's or 1980's, putting her at roughly 30-40 years old -- I'd say she's in amazing condition! There's a few things about this pretty lady that are unique -- first, she is weighted. She is a little bit like a brick -- hard as a rock and heavy. She's a great choice for stores that have people browsing past her, as she is less prone to toppling over than her lighter sisters. However, she is by no means a weeble -- she WILL fall over. She's just heavier, making it require a bigger bump to set her on her side. To give you an idea of how heavy this mannequin is, I was on my knees in my stockroom and she on a shelf about 6' from the floor. I bumped into the shelf and looked up to see if anything was about to fall. She fell right on my forehead. I had a very noticeable bump and bruise for a week. This is the only mannequin that has ever attacked me in all my time handling them. :) Another thing about her that is unique is her skin tone. I'd describe it as "wet concrete". It's a silvery grayish brown. She has no serious issues (other than her tendency to aim for my head when she's falling) and the only thing I can find worth mentioning is a scrape across her left eyebrow where her paint is missing. I'm sure this can easily be remedied with a little brown marker. This is a former wig display from a beauty supply house that is no longer in business. I believe in detailing and showing every flaw with items I sell, so look closely at the photos and read the description carefully before bidding. I have photographed her from every angle for full disclosure. Please rely on photos as the final word, in case I overlooked something when noting her problems. Now for the good stuff! She has a beautiful, exotic face with pretty blue shimmery eyeshadow and bright pink lipstick. She is a realistic looking, beautifully sculpted fiberglass mannequin with a Velcro strip on the top of her head to help keep a hat or wig in place. This auction is for the mannequin ONLY. WIG AND NECKLACE ARE NOT INCLUDED, but are shown to see how pretty she will be modeling your merchandise. She would do a marvelous job displaying vintage merchandise, hats, scarves, wigs and jewelry.
