• • FISHER SCIENTIFIC • • Vintage Industrial / Lab Scale dhhhdhhhdhhhdhhhd FEATURES: This is the LAB version of the 'Toy' version by Ohaus. This one: all steel. The beams are stainless. BEAM DETAILS: Front beam is 'GRAMS' - up to 10g in divisions of 1/10 gram. NO NOTCHES - this is a continuous slide. Middle beam is '100g' - up to 500g in divisions of 100g each with a 'notch' to accurately position the weight. Back beam is '10g' up to 100g in divisions of 10g -- also with notches. WEIGHT: the extra weight hooks onto the end - and adds 500g to the balance. Note the tray for storage when not hooked in place to use. Stainless sample tray is 5.75" diameter. Black knurled knob on left end is spring loaded - push IN to retard the movement of the balance when it might be oscillating - makes readings go a bit faster with practiced use. Very precise balance adjustment device located under the specimen pan - easy to use. THIS IS AN EARLY DESIGN that was manufactured for decades without alteration -- note the EARLY patent numbers: # 1,756,292 # 1,872,465 MEASURES: 15" Long overall 6" Tall Weight: 4.75 pounds [2.16 Kg] -- YES! We put one scale on another! Shipping weight will be 7 pounds. Age is guessed - Post Korean War approx = 1955 - 1970. CONDITION: 9.0 out of 10 -- VERY GOOD Looking, totally functional and accurate. We tried some known weights, reference items, and comparison with our digital scale = this balance seems very accurate. It is FAR more precise than our digital scale. Some of the gray powder coating has been chipped / scratched off - just a bit.
