This industrial anemometer is designed for industrial and NOT meteorological use. It is used to measure airflow velocity input and output from duct-work, diffusers and other commercial applications. Readings are in both feet per minute and miles per hour. Please NOTE that the vanes in this instrument are not intended to spin as in meteorological instruments. Rather, they deflect only slightly in proportion to the torque applied by the incoming or exiting air flow.  The readout scale can be calibrated (reset to zero) with a coin or screwdriver. The original instruction manual, handles and case are included. Model MLD made in USA by Fisher Scientific. This model has 0-3000 ft per minute capacity as compared with the 0-1000 ft per minute capacity of earlier models.  A detailed Owner's manual is included.
