Here for auction is an incredible water sampler marked Foerst Mechanical Specialties Co. from Chicago. The box and also the apparatus have a metal tag with this info. The original box measures approx. 27.5 x 6 x 6”. The sampler is shown with what is included. The messenger is with it. The box has tags on it and one is marked: Kemmerer Sampler and that is what I looked up to find out what this was. There are youtube videos on how these are used. This one is made of brass and is quite incredible. Both rubber stoppers are working on either end. No idea if there are supposed to be more to these or not and am thus offering this as it is and as shown. Does appear to be complete to me although there is not rope that it would attached to. Beautiful piece of vintage scientific equipment… I offer this as found and as shown and have done my best to describe it.
