This is a very old style muffler for a stationery engine, such as a small hit and miss engine or a Briggs & Stratton or similar. I do not know the actual application. The thread opening looks to be 3/4" pipe thread. This could thus work on many different applications that requires that size. The muffler is nice original condition with no rust out.
