Up for Auction is a Vintage hand tachometer.  Please look at pictures as this is the actual item you will receive. I don't know much about this item and will describe it to the best of my ability.  Please do your own research to confirm anything I have stated.  There are initials inscribed on the back towards the top where you can also see some of the red fabric coloring in case as rubbed off on it.  In the same area on the back stamped from the factory are the numbers 223851.  I have no clue what these stand for.  There were no directions included just the parts sheet which leads me to believe this tachometer is the Series 2000.  Parts page is dated May 15, 1978. The side button has scale settings x1, x10, and x100.    Attachments pictured. I copied below off of a website, again please verify and do your own research.         Series 2000   For instantaneous speeds with continuous display   Temperature compensated eddy current mechanism    Accuracy: 0.5% over the temp. range -10 to + 50°C   Linear scale with scale length 180 mm   7 mm diameter drive shaft  Dial diameter: 70 mm    Housing: Shock proof plastic
