Vintage 18 Inch Unmarked Butchers Meat Cleaver Here is a vintage heavy and sturdy meat cleaver that is designed to do what it is meant to do - hack through bone. The weight and size of the handle allow for a good grip and hacking action.   This meat cleaver is 18" in length and weighs almost 4 pounds.  The metal blade is 6 inches wide at the hole end and 4 inches wide at the handle end. The metal collar is 1.25 inches.   The cracks in the ribbed wood handle do not go all the way through.  The end of the handle has metal reinforcement.  This cleaver has been in storage and not used for many years. The metal has not been polished or cleaned. There are no cracks or breaks in the metal.  Please examine all 12 of my photos as they are a very important part of my description.
