Hewlett Packard HP HP-334A DISTORTION ANALYZER - NR! You are bidding on a somewhat functional HP 334A DISTORTION ANALYZER. The side trim rails, top and bottom covers are scratched from handling but the front panel looks fairly clean with minor scratches and nicks. Controls feel firm but we noted that the auto-null function seems to function only when the manual null has been optimized or not at all.  We feel the unit requires repair and/or calibration as the auto-null is not reliable in our opinion.  We are not the original owner. A line cord is provided but not shown. We did a spot check at 1000 Hz using our Leader generator. The 334A measured 0.104% relying mainly on manual nulling. Please note pictures #4 and 5. They show the residual THD + Noise. We are offering this unit at a low minimum bid due to our need to reduce inventory. We simply can no longer afford to do detailed troubleshooting/repair and not recover our labor costs. Having said that, we have stated a minimum bid without any reserve, actually below our initial investment. This HP 334A is known to be functional and not just merely power up. THE TEK 485 SCOPE AND LEADER GENERATOR SHOWN IN PICTURES 5 AND 6 ARE NOT PART OF THIS AUCTION.  The pictures show the actual item for bid.  Considering this is an older piece of electronics and in need of repair or calibration, it is offered AS-IS without any warranty. None who have won our auctions have been disappointed. (Some have told me I am overly critical and provide too many details but I don’t like negative surprises on what I buy and I’m sure you don’t as well.) Check the feedback.  We have done our best to describe this item and for that reason we offer no refunds or returns.  Once again, please inquire if you have any questions.
