Aubert Auctions Description A vintage hot fudge dispenser for a drugstore soda fountain or ice cream stand. It is in good working order and heats up with a flip of an on/off switch mounted to the side of the aluminum case. The cord is intact and will not need to be replaced with the help of a grounding adaptor plug to meet today's safety standards. It has a proper ladle that is bent in a way that will allow it to scoop the bottom of the pot. When empty the scoop apparently floats in the contents and thus lid will close flat but empty the scoop rests on the bottom and bend does not allow the dust lid to close flush. Pot has a removable aluminum rim cap for cleaning and pot appears to be stationary. It is enameled and we believe it is stainless metal or heavy aluminum underneath. We have ascertained this because pot has scratches on the inside at the level of where it appears the ladle edge rubbed through to the shiny base metal. Dispenser has striking graphics on its plastic panel front with a light behind it that flashes on and off which further accents its visual appeal. Its age is unknown but appears to be from the 1950's era. There is some grunge buildup on one side that appears to be fudge drips. We have made no attempts to clean the dispenser and its offered as it was found. There is a slight bend on the edge of the plastic display panel and in the upper left is a small area broken away with striations below it where the mounting rivet was replaced with a screw. There are three small dings in the aluminum dust lid that do not detract. The feet have some light surface corrosion. Otherwise in good condition overall. We have shown dimensions next to a ruler.
