This vintage nautical search lamp is called the "Half-Mile-Ray" and was made by the Portable Light Co., N.Y.C. It's model number 1075. The lamp was made to bolt to the top of it's power supply, a large battery. There is a single wire with a terminal lug for attaching to the battery. We are unable to test the lamp because we do not have a compatible battery. There is a bulb inside the lamp. The lamp appears to be in good condition, the glass is not cracked and the body and cage are intact. The lamp measures 6 1/2" in diameter and 10 1/2" tall. The slot on the mounting bracket is 4 1/16" wide, there is a 3" angling arm, and the black handle is 3 1/2" long.
