This incredible piece of industrial history is a pedal powered grinding machine. From what we can determine it was built between 1895 and 1905 by the Luther Grinder Mfg Co out of Milwaukee. It is inscribed with "Luther Grinder Mfg Co, Hummer No 271, Model G, Milwaukee US." It is in great shape considering its age and still functions properly. The grinding wheels measure 6" in diameter while the seat measures 8 1/2" wide x 7 1/2" long. Overall the machine measures 30" x 19" x 42" tall. This would be an incredible addition to the collection of any serious collector of industrial history or simply an amazing discussion piece to have within your living space.
