This is a vintage Jaffrey apple grinder fruit press made of cast iron. It has a large cast iron flywheel with a wooden handle. The crushing/ grinding wheel is made of wood and stainless steel metal teeth. It is marked Jaffrey Mfg Co and has the number 8108 It is an older model and has been used, but is sturdy and well built. It has many more years of use to go. The wheel and grinders rotate smoothly. The inner cutting wheel is made up of multiple wood discs with stainless steel teeth that make up the cutting or crushing wheel. The teeth are all there. There are no missing teeth. It needs to be bolted onto some kind of base or frame and is usually suspended above a bucket. Per their web site, it grinds the apples to make them the right size to get a lot more juice out of them when put through an apple press. The website says it can also be used for other fruits. It weighs 35 pounds.  It is approximately 24" long from the handle to the end of the grinder. The fly wheel measures 16" in diameter. The "box" part is 11" x 7" x 7" on the outside; the opening measures 6" x 7". This is for local pickup. Please do not ask about shipping this item. It is really heavy and quite large and awkward to move. For pickup, I will meet the buyer at a shopping center or similar location near my home, which is just 14 miles north of downtown Chicago. By prior arrangement, and after payment, I am willing to meet in the Milwaukee or Oshkosh, Wisconsin areas. Please look at the pictures; they are also a part of the description.
