Supplied to us by East Meadow Business Machines (Long Island NY) sometime in the late 70's or early 80's, this vintage Lathem bundy clock Model 2121, or popularly called an employee time punch clock, is yet another great addition to your collectibles! The machine itself still works and can still be used to punch in employee work time. If you know this machine well, the internal clock is not at all connected to the display clock. The reason why we need to explain this is because the analog display clock that you see in front of the machine does not work anymore. We simply just placed a working digital clock on top of the machine for employees' reference. The instrument used (like a T-shaped bar that moves the time-adjustment gear) to set up the correct internal time had been missing since more than 10 years ago. In order to set up the correct time, we simply opened the unit (keys included in this offer). We knew how to release the inside time-punching mechanism so that the punch time can be adjusted by using a paperclip tip to click the rotary gears that display the digits, around. The printing ribbon (red and black) still works fairly well although we recommend replacement in the future. There is also an easy method to use the machine's mechanical switch to make the ribbon spools move the ribbon in both directions when the ribbon reaches the end of its length. It's just like the good old typewriter ribbon forward-rewind technique of the good old times! We recommend you finding an old user manual for the machine if you do want to use it officially. As for looks, the pics display the actual machine and its cosmetic condition. If you do not know how this machine works and adjust time the way we have described above, please think twice unless you really just want it as a collectible display! This unit is truly a nostalgic collector's item that was used by employees at our store for years!
