Description:  The fourth of eight sets of manicules, pointing hands used in advertising, especially in the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, in newspapers, magazines, catalogs, and broadsides.  They are "calling your attention to" symbols,  in use for hundreds of years starting as early as the middle ages. This set of manicules is unusual in that the "dress" is that of the jester. The eight sets we are offering range from the largest with each hand = 1 1/4", to the smallest, with each hand =5/16." As all-metal blocks, they can be used cold to print in black and white or color, or heated to print gold, silver, or colored foils that are available from art or hobby shops; or to make impressions in soft surfaces such as clay.  They are type-high (23.3 mm/0.9186 inches), ready to print.  Each of these blocks measure 1" by 3/4". Condition: Very good; these blocks print a clear, crisp image.  Shipping for this item: $3.40 bubble-wrapped in a padded envelope, USPS First class  mail to U. S. postal zip codes.
