In this auction you are bidding on a VINTAGE MACHINISTS V-BLOCK / V BLOCK AND CLAMP I am not a machinist nor do I understand the tools of the trade or their use but I bought a machinists toolbox at a car parts swap meet recently with plans to use it to store my pocket knife collection. There were some tools in it that I do not want or need so I will be listing most of them here. Nice old V-block and threaded clamp and screw. Not sure if this screw is the original, probably not, but it does work. There is some minor surface rust (see pictures) but steel wool or a wire brush should knock that off. Block measures: 2" x 1.9" x 3" and weighs approx. 2 lb. 12 oz., but the shipping weight will be slightly higher due to the box and packing material. Please view the pictures as they are part of the description and ask any questions prior to bidding, but when viewing these pictures and close-ups please be aware that my camera lens, especially in macro mode, may tend to enhance small imperfections, dust and dirt particles far beyond what you would normally be able to see with the naked eye.
