A Truly Vintage Marquette AC Arc Welder-ready to go to work, using 230 Volts single-phase power. I recently sold my small Century Mig welder and purchased a used Millermatic 210 Mig machine.  I'll no longer need this fine Arc welder. Works very well with proper equipment, all included. A newer 8-3 SO power cord and Eagle 50 Amp plug. A good TWECO bronze ground clamp. Newer #1 welding cables, 25 foot each, soldered into the original brass male plugs, and a good condition rod holder with all its insulators in place. The tapered brass plugs have been shined, as well as the inside all of the female plugs. Left side power ranges from 25 to 85 amps. Right side panel ranges from 100 to 275 amps.   This welder can burn 1/4 inch rods at 275 amps according to the data plate, that's some serious rod burning  power! The top, base, and "wheel pants" are of cast iron, with 6 inch by 2-1/4 wide wheels in the rear, and 5 inch by 2 wheels on the steering end. It pulls or pushes around easily with the steering handle. Below is some back-story on this unit. A google search on Marquette patent approval, will show a similar model from 1938, by Clifford Akins.  This unit is thought to be from the 1940's. Those were the days when things were built to last as this unit is proof of.  The welder has been used occasionally in my home shop since the mid 1980's. Prior to being used, the sheet metal sides and top were removed, the windings and chassis were cleaned and blown free of dust and other accumulations. A new power cord and plug were installed. The left side bake-lite panel was broken at the bottom, where the ground terminal was. This item was replaced with a 1/4 inch thick, reinforced fiberglass panel, and each output terminal amperage value was re-stamped.  A coat of red enamel was then brushed on carefully, and afterward, black vinyl bead material was installed around the base, see photos showing the lower areas. A new set of welding cables was purchased later, and a pair of sheet metal hooks were bent to hang the cables on the machine, see last photo. It's has always had a cover over the ventilated top to keep stuff from falling in, and it was recently cleaned up. Some white paint spatter is on the paint, and the cables, but not too much. All rubber cable sheathing is in excellent condition, pliable, with no known cuts or abrasions. A few dings, dents, and paint scratches as well, but not bad at all. Furnished also, are almost 5 lbs. of 1/8" #6011, and near 3 lbs. 3/32" # 6013 welding rods. Returns are not offered. It can be tested at time of pick up and proven to weld perfectly. Once it leaves my premises, it will be yours, not mine. For pick-up, you'd better have a wide, and long ramp for loading. I can assist, but picking this weight up is not an option! A lift gate would be best but not many have these available. You will need a way to secure this load in your truck or trailer for sure. Mobile phone number will be provided at auction end, to the winning bidder. Thank you in advance
