Item recovered locally and sold AS IS as parts/repair unit. This auction is for a  Vintage Norand RD5500 Full Screen Remote Display Unit  850-518-001. This looks pretty nice cosmetically, and may work just fine, I don't have anything to power it up with. It looks like it would get its power by plugging into another piece of equipment, since I don't really see any power inputs for a power supply. Real heavy duty case made of aluminum. There is a scratch on the front right side. Back of unit has a C and B knob, probably for Contrast and Brightness. There are two male connections, one is a DB-9 and the other is a DB--25. There are four threaded studs coming out the back for mounting. The sticker on back says it is PN 850-518-001, MN is RD5500, and was manufactured in July of 1994. Looks like it might have been made in Cedar Rapids Iowa.  Decent looking unit, a few scuffs here and there with a little paint missing in a few places, but pretty decent overall.
