Wolf-==- Dear wolfb, All right I now have a headache trying to figuring this out. When I moved the sliding weight to the left the left went down, the needle also went all the way to the left, not in the middle. I unscrewed the plates and there was some lead weights under them. I moved the weights all to the right and it didn't help, I also added some different things and it would either not move or move all the way down on the right. The plates move up and down but I'm guessing I don't have the right kind of weights for it. I figured I had it priced low enough to be bought for parts because I didn't have enough knowledge about it. I saw the same ones going for $100.00+. Anyway thank you for trying to help me out with this, - dad3640
