IMPORTANT NOTE: The 2nd picture has been edited (reverse/mirrored & desaturated with increased contrast), to highlight the fine details and to show the pattern /image as it would when pressed/printed. Up for bid is the vintage/antique PRINTING PRESS BLOCK (featuring a Devilish looking person dancing in front of a firey backdrop), as seen in the pictures / as described in the title. Homemade, handcrafted / carved, original art (unsigned). Best guess as to age of piece would be circa 1950's or 60's, possibly slightly earlier. Template made of solid lead (1/16" thick) with a 1/16" thick layer of a dark gray/black hard rubber and finally, another layer (1/32" thick) of beige/pink-ish hard rubber (which is the layer the image was carved into). Excellent used condition with NO major defects whatsoever. Superb, rich layer of old faded ink and very nice patina throughout. Being offered for sale AS-FOUND, uncleaned. Cosmetic condition is as clearly and accurately shown in the pictures. Please inspect all of them carefully. Measures (not a perfect rectangle, height/width varies slightly) approx. 5-11/16" tall x 3-29/32" wide, overall. Edge of image is 5-5/32" tall x 3-3/64" wide. Weighs 7.0 oz.
