Vintage Rubsam & Horrmann Brewing Co. S.S. 15.5 Gal. Keg Staten Island, NY. Shows dings and scrapes characteristic of the many miles and years transportation.  Other markings and inscriptions are: 15-15.5-47-9  Be aware, it in not cleaned. Net weight: 29 Lb.  See the photos.  Questions welcomed.  Some notes I gleaned from the web:  Launched in 1870 by two German immigrants, R&H switched to near-beer during prohibition before going back to the good stuff in the 1930s. By 1953, R&H was bought out by the Piels company, which had its own brewery in East New York. Piels closed the R&H plant and the brand entirely a decade later.  Was one of the older breweries on Staten Island. Closed in 1963   A Google search brings up numerous references to Rubsam & Horrmann Brewing Company. I found it interesting reading.  Not likely are there many of these 15.5 gal. SS kegs remaining.
