Vintage Optometry Tool ~ "Jewel" Model Schiotz Tonometer ~ Stainless Steel It looks like all the pieces are still in the original case. The case, tonometer and other pieces are in good condition. It also comes with 6 papers and a trifold booklet that explains how to use the tonometer. It's used to measure ocular tension by registering the depth of indentation produced in the cornea by a plunger carrying a known weight. It also has the original box which shows wear around the edges. I obtained several Optometry related items at an auction over the weekend and will be listing them soon.
