We have for your viewing and bidding pleasure a vintage collectible portable typewriter. The typewriter is manually operated and comes in its original hard plastic carrying case. The typewriter and case are in a light green to mint color. On the top rather front area it has the initials SCM with the name SMITH – CORONA. Towards the back top it has an additional name COUGER. All the keys work but occasionally one will stick. If a person was to use the machine it should be cleaned and oiled. Also it should have a new ribbon as it prints rather lightly. The spacebar works, the lever to advance the paper works, the white knobs turn the paper roller and the bell dings. We believe all the functions work on the typewriter but as stated before it needs to be cleaned and oiled as it has been setting around for quite some time. From the style, shape and design we believe it to be from the 1960's era. Overall, cosmetically it is in good condition. Laying down on the 4 soft rubber feet it measures horizontally 12 1/2 ” wide by 13 1/2 ” vertically to the end of the hard plastic carrying handle and 4” deep. It weighs 9 lbs. 10 oz.. We are listing this vintage typewriter at a no reserve selling price. So, thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
