VistaView CableTec (VVC) Stainless Steel SwiftCatch for 3/16" 1x19 Cable The VVC SwiftCatch provides a fast connector end for a cable railing run. 3/16" cable is inserted into the fitting and automatically catches, holding the cable firmly in place. The SwiftCatches are not tensioners as they must be anchored before the other end of your cable run is tensioned. The SwiftCatches are paired with a tensioner such as a Threaded Terminal or Turnbuckle. The SwiftCatches are good for indoor or outdoor applications. They are T316 "marine grade" stainless steel and finishes off the ends of your cable runs with a colored or decorative stainless cap, which can be purchased separately in my eBay Store. SwiftCatch fittings can greatly decrease the time of installation of a cable railing. VVC recommends using 3/16" 1x19 cable as other strands will not hold the fitting as well. The SwiftCatch can be used with either wood or metal posts. Building codes differ from county to county across the United States, but VVC recommends spacing cables from 3" to 4" to ensure safety. The height of your posts (typically 36" or 42" high) will determine the number of cable runs that will be required.
