PLEASE READ MY REVIEWS AND LOOK AT MY OTHER ITEMS. I KNOW VITAMIX MACHINES INSIDE AND OUT. Does your machine (in the variable speed mode) skip speeds on the lower numbers 1-5?     You need a NEW variable speed switch. (Potentiometer) As a longtime Vitamix rep. I can tell you the one part that seems to always seems to fail after many years of use on a Vitamix is the variable speed switch on the TOTAL NUTRITION CENTER, 5000,5200  and Vita-prep series models. If you have it fixed by Vitamix it will set you back $100 and you have to ship the machine back and forth to OHIO.  Now (with my simple step by step instructions) you can do it yourself for under $25 I have personally changed over 120 of these switches and they work every time. This is the Original switch that was used on the TNC,5000 ,Vita-prep models and also works fine on the 5200 and creations models. PLEASE READ MY REVIEWS. PURCHASE WITH CONFIDENCE. Item as described.
