You are bidding on a Vintage Safety Hand Tool. It was made by AMPCO - American Metal Products COmpany. This company was/is located in Wisconsin. The markings are as follow... AMPCO - BERYLLIUM - S60 - U.S.A... These shears and/or scissors measure 12 1/4" in over-all length. I googled Beryllium (since I did not know what it was) and I found this information... Beryllium copper alloys are strong and hard and they do not create sparks when they strike a steel surface... This pair of scissors appears to be well made. They weigh 1 pound 3 1/2 ounces. They seem to cut ok but may benefit from being sharpened? These scissors have clearly been used. I am selling this tool in used as found condition so it should benefit from a good cleaning. Since the metal has aged and/or has patina, I assume it will benefit from a thorough polishing. I uploaded 11 pictures for you to "ZOOM". Pictures are an integral part of my description.
