THIS IS AN ACE MANUFACTURING CORP., CHICAGO, ILL., PATENT MARKED STAPLER, CADET #302~MADE IN THE U.S.A.  I am no authority on these old staplers but this is what I did to see if it worked: I depressed the round nob at the top of the stapler and it ejected a staple as there were still some left in the casing (I am enclosing the ejected staple taped to a piece of paper). I engaged the spring loaded? expandable belt to the far end of the track and forward again with relative ease. As for the overall condition, it still maintains a nice shine but has the expected surface wear from age an use as well as surface scratches.  It measures 4 1/2 ” long, 3 1/4 ” high & 2” wide and uses CADET 300 STAPLES ONLY   The following patent numbers appear on the underside from top to bottom: Top number 2033018, 2056480, 2066157, 2103551, 2107169 and bottom number 2112941.   Please refer to the photos for style, condition and markings and email any questions as it is being sold AS IS with no warranty or guaranty expressed or implied. It is very Art Deco in its design making quite a statement as a stand alone piece, and I suspect that this particular model with patent numbers is relatively hard to find.   Thank you fellow caretakers for looking.
