This is a vintage piece of research test equipment. I think it is a Light Scattering Photometer, but I am not sure because the label is missing. The serial number is 767012. The only identifying thing on it says "Hergestellt in der DDR". (I beleive DDR stands for Deuschland Democratic Republic also known as West Germany.) I have not used it and I do not know anything about how it works. It came from the lab of someone who did research in plastics and other things, but I do not know what its exact use is. I do not know when this piece of equipment was built, but I would guess around the 60's. I do not know if it is missing any parts. There are two wooden cases with extra parts in them. It is a little dusty and dirty and there are some marks and scratches from normal use. There is no obvious damage. It weighs about 85 pounds. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. I prefer local pick up in Burnt Hills, New York (near Albany), but I may possibly be able to deliver it if you live in NY, NH, VT, CT, RI, MA, PA, OH, NJ, IN, or MI (or if you can pick it up somewhere in one of those states.
