Capacity Microprocessor Controls Continuous or Timed Operation Orbit size 19 mm (¾") Speed 15–500 rpm Digital orbital shakers are designed for a wide range of applications such as solubility studies, extraction procedures, and cell cultures that require accurate and reproducible results. Distinctive operational features include the exclusive Accu-Drive™ Shaking System, which delivers exceptional speed control, accuracy, and durability. The system continuously monitors shaking speed and maintains set point even under changing loads. Displayed speed is accurate to 1% of setting. The variable speed microprocessor control provides consistent, uniform mixing action. Microprocessor will display last set point and will restart if power is interrupted. The shaker's powerful triple eccentric drive and brushless motor ensure reliable service in continuous duty and can handle loads up to 15.9kg (35lbs.). Shakers are equipped with touchpad controls with easy-to-read, independent LEDs for speed and time, allowing users to view all settings simultaneously. Timer will display elapsed time or, when programmed to user-defined limit, will shut off the unit. Display will show last settings even after power is turned off. A built-in load sensor detects unbalanced conditions and automatically reduces rpm to a safe speed, or stops the system entirely. The microprocessor's ramping feature slowly increases speed to the desired set point to avoid splashing or sample loss. Shakers can be run in cold rooms, incubators, and CO2 environments from –10 to 60°C (14 to 140°F). An audible alarm will sound in timed mode when timer reaches zero. Two-way communication for data logging and unit control is provided by an RS-232 serial port. Shakers can accommodate a variety of stainless steel platform options.
