The ATS-6044T is a highly reliable, and simple to operate instrument requiring minimal operator training. The ATS-6044T operates from AC or from a self-contained rechargeable battery. During AC operation, the battery automatically receives a floating charge. Whenever portable use is needed, a fully charged battery will operate the instrument for approximately eight hours. Indicators on the front panel enable the operator to easily verify that the proper operating temperature of the probe has been reached. Initial warmup is approximately fifteen minutes. Readings are then easy to make. Position the probe on the sample. The alloy registration numbers will appear very rapidly on the digital meter and stabilize. For alloy identification, this reading is then compared to values obtained from either the table furnished with the instrument or from an alloy of known identity. Performing consecutive tests is easy and fast. Once the probe is removed from the alloy, the ATS automatically resets. PROBE IS NOT INCLUDED.
