Walter Part # 54B040 • Electrochemical cleaning of TIG, SPOT and pulsed MIG welds • Removes heat tint and other surface contaminants from welding processes • Use with inserts 48-R 133 and 54-B 036 • Use with SURFOX-T • High heat resistant (260 C / 500 F) Electrochemical cleaning with cleaning pads helps save time as compared to the practice of immersing the metal workpiece in an electrochemical bath. Here, cleaning is aimed at specific areas. The use of an electrolyte solution like SURFOX-T ensures that many types of impurities are oxidized and dissolve easily. Designed for maximum durability and efficiency in electrochemical cleaning, these high-performance scouring pads are handy for operators handling high amounts of surface contaminants on stainless steel. The cleaning pads effectively remove welding heat tint. These high heat resistant pads (up to 260 degrees Celsius / 500 degrees Fahrenheit) are commonly used to clean TIG, SPOT, and pulsed MIG welds. These cleaning pads for welding surfaces measure 1-13/64” in height, 4” in length and 2-51/64” in width. Package of 10. Package:  10
