This offering is placed "AS IS" and there are no guarantees or warrantees of any kind, implied or direct.  The comments below are based upon my personal experiences with other equipment manufactured by Ward Beck.  I have not taken the time to bench test this unit as I have sold off most of my test gear and bench power supplies necessary for the task. This offering is for a Ward Beck One input by Six output distribution amplifier with stereo metering.  Both meters have edge illumination available, the lighting circuit is present for the right meter but missing from the left.  One can duplicate the connections for the left meter illumination by following the example from the right meter.  The metering amplifier card, see picture #3, is typical for both.  One meter amplifier has a broken calibration POT.  This is a typical PCB horizontal mount trimmer of 50,000 Ohms and is commonly available from many component vendors.  The power input and audio sample input for the meter amplifier is P1, located in the bottom center of the #3 picture. The meter amplifiers operate on +22VDC only.   Meter zero VU range set is a rotary switch and can be set from zero dB to +14dB for either 600 Ohm or 150 Ohm termination impedance of the circuit being monitored. See picture #4. The pushbutton switches "appear" to be mechanically operational with the exception of the "L-R" pushbutton switch which does not remain depressed when button pressure is removed; I have no means of determining if this is a normal action or a malfunction. The rear panel has the +/- 22VDC input terminal strip and a pair of male ELCO connectors for the stereo input and the six stereo output connections for the unit.  The distribution amplifier operates on +/-22VDC.  The DA has independent left and right gain balance trims (see picture #7).  Mounted along side the DA is an additional mounting board with two trip pots; I believe these were installed to allow fine calibration of the left and right VU meters.  Without the benefit of a schematic, my examination of the DA card indicates this is a balanced stereo input, with six balanced stereo outputs.  Circuit layout indicates this is a well designed, instrumentation amplifier with an electrically balanced, transformer-less output driver assembly. When I acquired this unit, my intent was to test and verify the operation of the VU meters and use them for the purpose of measuring analog audio signals to balance stereo signals, because the meter display selection allows L+R and L-R measurements, as well as the verification of program audio quality being measured. If the DA amplifier was operational, I would redeploy it for its intended design. During my career as a broadcast engineer, I have always found the quality of design and operation of Ward Beck equipment to be second to none in all respects.  This item is a very fine example of the high quality of design and manufacturing Ward Beck always employed.
