The small amount of carbon filtered water bypasses softening resin to maintain low TDS level. It is a replaceable system which includes pressure gauge and flushing valve. It has 4400 grains of capacity, 3/8 inch NFPT connection, and 5 gallons per minute flow rate. Cartridges (sold separately) are reasonably priced and easy to change. Filter head exclusively for Everpure replacement cartridges.
