Wavy spring washers are used in electric motors and other devices to pre-load bearings. This longitudinal pre-loading reduces noise and extends bearing life. These wave washers have been removed from various motors that have failed for unrelated reasons. We have inspected and cleaned these wave washers, and routinely use them as replacements in our shop. Wave washers, though easily lost, seldom fail, so we have amassed quite a collection over 85 years of operation. These washers are intended for 40 mm OD bearings, such as size 6203. They have an OD of 1.55" and an ID of 1.22". Unloaded, they stand 0.16" tall. If you want another size, or have any questions, feel free to call us at (732) 388-2829.
