WELCH ALLYN 76710 TRANSFORMER WITH BOTH HEADS! THIS LISTING INCLUDES A NEW COAXIAL OPHTHALMOSCOPE AND USED OTOSCOPE! LOW-COST EXPEDITED SHIPMENT! EXTRA CLEAN! 30-DAY WARRANTY! These transformers were recently removed from a working hospital environment. They are in GREAT condition and contain both heads-- the otoscope and ophthalmoscope. The transformer is lightly used and shows minimal signs of use - it is extra clean. List price on this set (new) is $943. This transformer has been inspected/tested prior to this listing and it is in full and complete working order (including the green power switch/bulb). Please note that this is a complete system with the transformer, both heads, power cord, instruction booklet, and our super-sturdy "Samson" wall mount plate system (designed by us and manufactured in the USA to our specifications). This is a new listing for us and is based on the many suggestions that we have received from our customers. As many professionals know, the standard otoscope included with this system is not sealed and can be easily disassembled for periodic cleaning. The coaxial ophthalmoscope (11720) in this system is a covered-lens system that cannot be easily disassembled for cleaning. Once fluids penetrate beyond the lens it cannot be easily cleaned (and the fluid that has penetrated inside of the ophthalmoscope leaves a noticeable residue when it dries). Users have also discovered that it is very expensive to send the ophthalmoscope to Welch Allyn for professional cleaning. Many users have discovered that most "used" ophthalmoscopes require professional cleaning in order to provide a desirable, crisp image.
