Welch Allyn 9000 digital tympanic thermometer This is a device used to measure a patient's temperature and pulse through the ear. On the back of the device is a backlit digital LCD display which can be read in either of the Celsius or Fahrenheit scales. On the left side of the unit are buttons labeled "mode" and "light / recall." On the right side of the unit are buttons labeled "pulse timer" and "°F/°C." On the bottom of the unit is an opening for inserting new probe covers (a partly-used set is included). The device has an anti-theft system which will cause it to stop functioning until it is returned to the base after a certain number of readings. No base is included. The unit takes four AAA batteries (not included). When the reading button is pressed the unit's display reads "SEC", which we presume indicates that the security feature has engaged. Since we don't have a base to return the unit to, no further testing was performed. Auction Sales Policy We are a consignment seller and all items on auction are consignment items.
