You are purchasing a new unused Welch Allyn Panoptic Ophthalmoscope. The instrument does not contain the original box but has never been used. It has been kept in a Welch Allyn item-specific case. This item was one of several Welch Allyn instruments included in our medical equipment I received during PA school. However as a program, only our traditional ophthalmoscope was used and allowed for testing purposes and any instructional information on the panoptic desired as a student was to be obtained on our own accord. This item has been removed from its original box but never used (both clinically or for practice) and stored with the rest of my medical equipment. As first year students we weret able to select which items we were to pay for/receive, therefore most of my classmates opted to sell their instruments as well. This instrument is truly a fantastic medical device and will be quite the luxury item for anyone who may benefit from and utilize a more detailed image during the examination of the eye and an iPhone app + accessory device (not included) may be incorporated to both take and store images in addition to having the ability to forward those images to specialists/colleagues or save them for their own records. I would definitely use this item as a routine instrument in my daily medical examinations however, as PA working in inpatient pulmonology the need for me to utilize such a device regularly isn't applicable.
