Weston Foot Candle Meter Model 614 - Cinema Light Meter - 1930's This rare vintage Weston Foot Candle Meter is a Model 614 and was used to measure the illumination in Foot Candles for cinematography in movies. It was patented in 1928, and dates to a few years after. This kind of thing was used on movie sets a long time ago, and is a piece of movie history. There are instructions on how to use it on the inside, it has a hinged light sensor to gauge foot candles with, and has three settings: High, Medium, and Low. It was made by the Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation. I got this at the estate sale of my film school instructor.
