WESTON Model 901 Meter 1117 AMPERES D.C. & Leather Case This listing is for a WESTON Model 901, No. 1117, AMPERES D.C., Meter with its original Leather Case.  It is believed that this Voltmeter was in working condition when it was retired from service quite a few years ago.  Cosmetically, this WESTON Model 901 Voltmeter looks to be in very good condition.  The leather case, however, which has provided excellent protection for this Meter, has become dried, fragile, and in poor condition.  The terminal caps all tighten and loosen smoothly and the gauge appears to be in working condition.  I have no idea why this meter was retired with Sprague resisters attached to its terminals.  I have not done any specific functional testing, do not have the capability, and make no claims other than what is stated in this description and seen in the many photos.  In summary, this Weston Model 901 Meter has been in storage for many many years and it is rare to find one of these with its original case (in any condition).
