WILD HEERBRUGG  M1A  Stereomicroscope (Stereo Microscope) This microscope includes matched 8/21 Wild Eyepieces and a reversible black/white stage plate (see photographs).  The Wild M1 series stereomicroscope was released in 1973. The M1 series provides the capability to use interchangeable CMOs. Some versions of the M1 series, e.g., the M1A, for sale here, had the unusual, for Wild, additional extruding support with rectangular, cross-section on the pole stand for locking orientation and added strength. [The M1 here is available for use with incident light.] The M1 series was a successor to Wild’s M4 series. [The stand here] provides a design that fixes the orientation of the microscope’s body over the object to be examined. This series was sold through the mid-1980s.                                                                                                                                                                                                          -- © RJK 2014 Authorized The two pictures taken through the microscope are of Victorian slides. The one of the fly from a green-paper covered-slide, and the other of a section of wood on all glass slide. Of course, this microscope is more commonly used to examine "raw" specimens not on slides.  __________  No need for concern about stock picture matching the item for sale.
